Frost Notes

Anthology

Alissa Johnson

Aspiring poet Alissa Johnson sees "moments of profound
silence in the lines of Robert Frost's poems. I
believe these moments exist between the lines of
storms, of nature, of earth's rotations and of objects
set in motion across the earth. This also exists in
the Arizona desert where the radio song falsely
attempts to distance the profundity from receiver."

Storm

Storm's darkness

shrouds the road.

Encircles me.

Radio distances

car/shroud/road.

The woman sings

of "un respiro profundo."

Lightning meets

Ground -- un

respiro profundo

directly follows.

I conclude:

my definition

of depth

expands.
